“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Hippocrates (ca. 460 BC-ca. 370 BC)
Hippocrates was an ancient Greek physician of the Age of Pericles. He was referred to as the “Father of Medicine”.
Preceding Hippocrates, in Genesis 1:29, “God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.” The Creator (ca. infinitely before all things-ca. infinitely eternal)
Our family takes these quotes to heart. We live by them. Literally. You will not find even an aspirin in our home. A headache or any pain for that matter is abnormal, and the primary cause of which is normally, dehydration. So, while you thought that the aspirin you swallowed took care of the headache, it was probably chased away by the water you washed it down with!

The other favorite pain killer, acetaminophen, has a toxifying effect on the liver! Yet, they are casually offered over the counter for your personal use.
I guess we Americans feel we should live daily without any pain and as if there is no tomorrow. But please remember there are consequences to our actions. These consequences may not appear until our 30’s, 40’s or 50’s, but the toll is already being taken on our bodies whenever we take the “instant relief road” of “popping pills.”
What you need to know it that there are other avenues to explore for pain. First and foremost, see your Chiropractic Physician. That is a great start and he/she can direct you wisely towards an adjustment, acupuncture, herbs, supplements or diet and lifestyle changes that need to be made. When you take the steps given to you on this road, the road will be paved with a positive, side-effect-free quality of life.
Remember, it’s worth it to think before you swallow.
With you in health,
